Chris Wood’s loan to Nottingham Forest has been extended after only three appearances.
The striker joined the club on loan from Newcastle United last month with an option to buy, and The Times reports that his third start last weekend triggered a permanent move to the City Ground.
“It was great to see Chris,” United coach Eddie Howe said. “He entered my office, which was a really nice moment to share with him because I hadn’t seen him since he left.
“I talked to him. I believe he went into the locker room to see the players, and both he and Jonjo had a great time with the group. It just goes to show how well-liked they were, how important they were to the team, and how much they will be missed by everyone.”
