Tottenham now linked with Champions League winning manager previously labelled as ‘one of the best’ by Pep Guardiola

According to The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur director, Fabio Paratici is a fan of former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique and is considering him as a replacement for Antonio Conte at the end of the season.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is also heavily linked with a return to the club, is said to be looking for a manager who will not undermine his position at the club.

While Daniel Levy is said to prefer Pochettino, some senior figures at the club are reportedly not on board with the idea of his return.

The Athletic notes that Pochettino works best with a close loyal team around him, with him being the ‘charismatic king’ of the stadium. It is suggested that he and Paratici might not be able to work together, which is why Fabio might not opt for him if he has any say in who replaces Conte.

Luis Enrique is another big name now being linked with Spurs. He has previously managed Barcelona and the Spain National team and has been described as one of the ‘best managers’ by Pep Guardiola in the past.

His style of play is an attacking one with his preferred formation a 4-3-3. He won the “World’s Best Coach” award in 2014/15 with Barcelona and won nine trophies with Barcelona, including the Champions League.

Other managers linked with the Spurs include Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Tuchel, and Thomas Franck.

Whoever replaces Conte at Tottenham, will be a big decision for the club as they look to move forward and compete for silverware in the coming seasons
