Newcastle transfer rumours with Moussa Diaby update and Kieran Tierney latest after January bid

All of the latest Newcastle United transfer rumors including reports on Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby and Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney

Diaby update

Bayer Leverkusen is ‘ready to talk’ over a summer sale of Moussa Diaby, according to Sky Deutschland. Eddie Howe’s side was linked with a move for the French international back in the summer, and he’s continued to impress, with 11 goals and six assists in 31 games in all competitions so far.

Sky Deutschland reporter Marlon Irlbacher said: “Moussa Diaby is the hottest personnel at Bayer Leverkusen next to Florian Wirtz. His contract is worth €50m until 2025, so there’s really no reason for Bayer 04 to sell him in the coming summer.

“But the fact is, and this is what we hear, that if a fantastic offer comes in, then Bayer 04 is ready to talk and he would not mind making a move to a top European club. A return to Paris is on his mind.”

Tierney latest

The Evening Standard claims Kieran Tierney would be open to a move to Newcastle United if he can’t dislodge Oleksandr Zinchenko from left-back between now and the end of the season.

Both the Magpies and Aston Villa have been linked with a move for the former Celtic defender in recent days, with Eddie Howe’s side looking to bolster his options in defense.

The report claims Arsenal have not yet decided if they would sanction the departure of Tierney, but if he leaves they would want more than the £ 25 million they paid to sign him from Celtic in 2019.

Brendan Rodgers, who worked with Tierney during his time at Celtic, saw an approach knocked back by Arsenal in January, who wasn’t keen on doing a mid-season deal.
