Tottenham team news: Stellini make changes vs Everton after inheriting Conte dilemma

Tottenham team news: Cristian Stellini is set to make changes against Everton in the first game since Antonio Conte’s sacking.

Tottenham Hotspur is in action for the first time since Antonio Conte’s exit on Monday as Cristian Stellini takes interim charge against Everton. Express Sport runs through all the latest team news and Spurs’ likely lineup at Goodison Park.

Goalkeeper – Lloris

Hugo Lloris is ready to return after missing the last nine Tottenham games with a knee injury.

He will replace Fraser Forster between the sticks and reclaim his captain’s armband.

The Frenchman could have a significant role to play in the final 10 games of Spurs’ Premier League campaign as they battle for a top-four berth.

Defense – Romero, Dier, Lenglet

Ben Davies has compiled on Spurs’ full-back injury woes, but he is also a big absentee in central defense.

Cristian Romero and Eric Dier were regular fixtures under Conte, and both should start on Merseyside.

Clement Lenglet is the likely candidate to keep his place in Davies’ absence.

But Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga are other options Stellini could opt for after Romero, Dier, and Lenglet featured in the 3-3 collapse at Southampton last time out.

Midfield – Porro, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Perisic

Emerson Royal, Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Ryan Sessegnon are all ruled out through injury.

Pedro Porro should keep his place fresh off earning his second Spain cap during the international break.

Stellini has confirmed that Ivan Perisic has recovered from a calf issue he picked up on Croatia duty. He’s set to start on the left.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp should partner up in central midfield again.

Attack – Kulusevski, Son, Kane

Richarlison won’t be available for the trip to his former club through injury, leaving Stellini with a front three that picks itself.

Arnaut Danjuma and Lucas Moura are available, but Stellini is widely expected to stick with Conte’s first-choice attack.

Harry Kane will lead the line as speculation continues to swirl about his future in north London amid interest from Manchester United.

Dejan Kulusevski should start on the right, with Son Heung-min keeping his place on the left.
