Rodrigo starts, 4-4-1-1: The Leeds United XI Javi Gracia should field v Nottingham Forest tonight

There’s a hugely important fixture for Leeds United in the Premier League tonight as they welcome Nottingham Forest to Elland Road.

Leeds slipped back into the relegation zone last night following Everton’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham, with the table looking completely different from how Javi Gracia’s side exited the March international break.

Gracia knows the importance of this upcoming game against Forest, as well as Leeds’ clash with Crystal Palace on Easter Sunday; two bites of the cherry for a crucial three points at Elland Road.

Early Leeds team news v Forest

Tyler Adams is Leeds’ headline absentee right now, with the midfielder facing a chunky period on the sidelines after hamstring surgery. Whether he plays or not again this season is anyone’s guess.

Max Wober and Willy Gnonto, you’d think, are also major doubts given they were out of Saturday’s defeat to Arsenal with hamstring and ankle issues respectively.

The big intrigue surrounds the likes of Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo Moreno, and Weston McKennie, who all started on the bench at Arsenal, presumably with this game in mind.

Predicted Leeds XI v Forest

As our graphic above shows, it’s four changes from the side that lost 4-1 to Arsenal over the weekend, with the aforementioned trio returning to the starting line-up.

The other change comes in defense, where Liam Cooper slots back into the back four in Wober’s absence, replacing Pascal Struijk.

Illan Meslier is in goal, behind a back-four of Junior Firpo, Cooper, Robin Koch, and Luke Ayling.

McKennie should join Marc Roca in central midfield, with Jack Harrison and Brenden Aaronson as much more traditional wingers.

Bamford leads the line, where he’s supported by Rodrigo.
