Exclusive: Everton race to sign red-hot Arsenal star, £30m will seal deal

Folarin Balogun: Everton, Brentford, and Wolves in the hunt to sign sensation as Arsenal price revealed

Everton has joined the race to sign Arsenal sensation Folarin Balogun this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Toffees are in the market for a new striker at the end of the season and are prepared to rival Brentford, Wolves, and Crystal Palace for Balogun’s signature.

Football Insider sources revealed on Friday (14 April) that Balogun will not play for Arsenal next season unless given guarantees by Mikel Arteta.

The 21-year-old has been in superb form on loan at Reims this season and wants guaranteed game time at The Emirates if he is to stay put in North London.

If Arsenal is unable to promise Balogun more first-team action, then it is understood that he would prefer a permanent move elsewhere this summer.

Alongside Premier League sides, there is also interest from a number of European clubs with Red Bull Leipzig, Marseille, Lyon, Villarreal and Sevilla all monitoring Balogun’s availability.

The Gunners are keen to keep hold of Balogun and are considering offering him a new and improved deal if he decides to stay and fight for his spot.

But if Balogun does push for a move at the end of the season, Arsenal is prepared to accept bids of around £ 30 million.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay have both struggled to supply goals for the Merseyside club this season, and a new striker has been made a top priority this summer by manager Sean Dyche.

Both Calvert-Lewin and Maupay have only netted once each this season.
