Tottenham Hotspur is keeping close tabs on AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori but would face paying a ‘huge’ fee.

That is according to a report from the Daily Mail, which has been looking at Tomori’s progress in Italy.

The former Chelsea defender may not be in the England squad but he is shining for AC Milan.

Tomori has played a vital role in helping Milan reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Tomori’s displays haven’t gone unnoticed and the Mail suggests that both Tottenham and Manchester United are interested.

It’s suggested that Spurs and United are both ‘keeping tabs ‘ on Tomori ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, it’s added that Milan would demand a ‘huge offer’ to even think about letting Tomori leave.

Milan paid £ 25 million to sign Tomori from Chelsea in 2021 and would now be in a strong position to demand at least double that.

Tottenham would love to have Fikayo Tomori

Tottenham really needs to invest in their back line this summer.

Cristian Romero is a quality defender but is also good for a couple of fairly brainless moments per game.

Eric Dier continues to divide opinion whilst Davinson Sanchez clearly isn’t loved by Tottenham supporters.

Clement Lenglet is only on loan and Ben Davies, for as well as he has fared as a left-sided center-back, isn’t a top-tier defender.

Bringing in a quality center-back should be a priority for Tottenham moving forward and Tomori would fit the bill.

Tomori has a blistering pace and has certainly become a stronger defender with his experience in Italy.

Hailed as ‘faultless’ by Rio Ferdinand after holding Spurs and Harry Kane to a 0-0 draw in March, Tomori has really kicked on with Milan.

The Canada-born ace is also a great age at 25, having plenty of football under his belt whilst also having the potential to grow and develop.

It’s hard to imagine Tomori being tempted to Spurs this summer but if there is even a chance of a deal, this is the kind of move Tottenham should pursue.
