Report: Tottenham currently ‘exploring’ interest in 38-year-old manager

The Daily Mail has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur has now turned their attention to Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim.

It emerged over recent days that Spurs are set to hold face-to-face talks with some of their top managerial candidates as they speed up their search for Antonio Conte’s replacement.

90 min reported a couple of days ago that the North London club is now set to speak to Luis Enrique, following which they are also keen to hold talks with Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.

However, if Mail’s latest update is to be believed, Amorim also features prominently on Tottenham’s wishlist, with the North London club now said to be ‘exploring an interest’ in the Portuguese coach.

The publication reveals that the Sporting boss, who is rated among the best-emerging coaches in Europe, is also on Chelsea’s radar.

The report adds that Slot and Enrique are both rated as ‘realistic’ options by Spurs and while they also like Vincent Kompany, Burnley is now working to tie down the Belgian to a new deal.

I would not be surprised if Tottenham’s wishlist goes through a dramatic change over the coming days now that Paratici has resigned.

The Italian was seemingly responsible for compiling the aforementioned list, which consisted of names like Luis Enrique and Arne Slot.
