Tottenham will lock horns with Manchester United on Thursday night, with Harry Kane finding himself in the spotlight ahead of that fixture in north London.

When Tottenham faces off against Manchester United on Thursday night, Harry Kane will very much take center stage. The Red Devils have already started their pursuit of the England international in the hope he’ll swap North London for Old Trafford at the end of the campaign. However, a phone call from 2018 shows just what Erik Ten Hag’s side will be up against.

Manchester United is hunting a world-class No 9 amid concerns over the fitness of Anthony Martial and qualifying of loan arrival Wout Weghorst.

While Victor Osimhen has been linked amid his sensational form for Napoli, it’s not the Nigerian who is believed to be the club’s priority.

Instead, United is hoping to strike gold by securing Kane’s signature amid a growing expectancy he’ll be on the move this summer.

The 29-year-old will have just one year left on his Tottenham contract come the end of the season, with his current deal due to expire in 2024.

And United, as well as Bayern Munich, are ready to offer him a route out of north London.
