Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Everton all have now been linked with Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri.

Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Everton linked with Maurizio Sarri

Il Quotidiano has reported that Tottenham, Newcastle, and Everton are all showing interest in former Chelsea manager Sarri.

Tottenham and Everton are in the front row for the Italian tactician, while there is also the theory that Newcastle could eventually move for him, according to the report in the Italian media.

HITC Verdict: Spurs clearly the likeliest club for Sarri

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur is more likely than Everton and Newcastle United to move for Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri.

After all, Spurs need to get in a new permanent manager after the departure of Antonio Conte.

And Sarri does seem like a decent option given his success with Chelsea in the Premier League and what he is doing at Lazio at the moment.

The 64-year-old is hugely experienced, and the chance to manage Tottenham could be tempting for the Italian, whose sides play “exciting” football, according to former Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia in The Guardian in July 2018.

Newcastle is doing well under Eddie Howe, and we do not think that PIF will sack him anytime soon.

Sean Dyche was appointed the Everton boss only this season, and we do not see the Toffees being able to attract Sarri, especially if they get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

EVERTON TRANSFER NEWS: TOFFEES ‘CONTENDERS’ TO SIGN £53M MARADONA-LIKE ENGLISH STAR

It has been reported that Everton is interested in wrapping up a summer transfer involving Marcus Edwards.

The Sporting CP wideman has caught the eye with his dazzling displays this season, with Leon Osman comparing his solo goal against Spurs in the Champions League to that of a classic Diego Maradona run.

It seems as if Everton are one of the many clubs intrigued by the prospect of a transfer for Marcus Edwards ahead of next season.

Details behind Everton Eyeing Marcus Edwards Transfer

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a fruitful personal campaign for Ruben Amorim’s side, registering 12 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.

Since leaving Tottenham Hotspur for foreign pastures, it seems like the talented winger has been sparked into life and looks set to continue on his quest to become a top-tier wide forward.

The record has reported that Everton is one of the ‘contenders’ to complete a transfer for Marcus Edwards.

While Sporting CP are open to letting their talismanic forward leave in the summer as they negotiate a new contract for him, their aim is that his release clause is boosted from £53.1 million to £72.7 million.

Not just Everton but a number of clubs in the Premier League are believed to be tempted by the potential chance of getting a move involving the highly-rated dribbler over the line.

HITC View: Marcus Edwards would be the dream Toffees signing

An area of the pitch where Sean Dyche’s men lack ideas is upfront, as even their wingers seem to create and score goals, as well as impact games constantly on an infrequent basis.

Marcus Edwards is renowned to be dangerous in 1v1 situations, blessed with a searing pace, and has shown that he can put the numbers up on the board, which is why Everton is right to prioritize his transfer.

While Edwards’ welcome blend of technical excellence and athleticism makes him a perfect fit for the English top flight, whether the Toffees even survive will primarily determine if they can even dream of signing him.
