Since Kieran Tierney was linked with a move to Newcastle United, the point about getting closer to his family has been reported plenty of times. While that’s not necessarily the case for a footballer to decide his next destination, the Magpies do have a strong appeal for the Scotsman.
Tierney arrived at Arsenal in a £25 million deal from Celtic in 2019. He has since established himself as their first choice left back, which has remained the case until the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko last summer, with the Ukranian now a preferred choice to start the game.
While Tierney has not shown discontent at his new role, which in hindsight, does make him a regular in the first team. He has made 24 appearances for Arsenal but might look for a new opportunity.
