registered in the UK (from January to May 2021) with Scottish club Ross County where he played the season before last on a short-term contract. Tony was last reported as playing for UE Sant Julià in the Andorran Primera Divisió last February (2022) signing until the end of the season. His Sky Blues days began on 10th August 2017 when he signed for CCFC on a two-year contract having just left Norwich City by mutual consent.

To start at the beginning Tony started his career as a youth player at Monaco before moving to Switzerland to get experience with CS Chenois and Stade Nyonnais where he played three seasons from 2009-12 and netted ten times in 77 games for the Swiss side. He then got his first experiences in Scotland in 2012 first with a season (2012-13) at Scottish 1st Division Livingston (seven goals in 38 appearances) and then with two seasons at Hamilton Academical where he helped them get promotion from the Scottish Championship into their Premier League. There he clocked up 28 goals in seventy appearances.

Tony’s next port of call in the UK in February 2015 was south of the border with Championship club Norwich City. In his three and a half seasons at Carrow Road Tony experienced both promotion to the Premiership with the Canaries in his first season (2014-15) and also relegation the following season (2015-16). He was sent out for a half-season loan to Rotherham United in September 2015 playing a dozen times and netting twice. He spent the whole of the following season back in the Scottish Championship on loan at Dundee United where he savored some success scoring in a winning United team in the Scottish Cup Final.

The Sky Blues saw quality and drive in the French midfielder who had scored nineteen goals in his 42 games for the Scottish side. After signing for CCFC, then playing in the fourth tier (League Two) for the first time in nearly sixty years, Tony soon scored his first Sky Blue goal in an EFL Trophy tie against Shrewsbury Town later the same month on 29 August 2017. However, unfortunately, during City’s 1-0 L2 win against Port Vale in early September, after only six games, Tony suffered a serious knee injury ruling him out of the rest of the 2017–18 season.

Tony made a comeback the following season with the Sky Blues having been promoted to League One but was eventually sent out on loan back to Hamilton in January 2019 after a further one goal in a dozen Sky Blue appearances (CCFC Total two goals in eighteen appearances). With the Accy’s in the SPL Tony got a good run out eventually appearing eighteen times for one goal scored. CCFC then decided Tony was surplus to requirements and in July 2019 he signed for another Scottish Premier League team St. Mirren where he spent the COVID-affected season 2019-20 but managed to get in 36 first-team games scoring twice before moving to Ross County.

CCFPA hopes you have a brilliant birthday today Tony! We would love to see you back in Coventry soon for a Sky Blue game and/or CCFPA event next season.
