Tottenham has decided to keep Juventus loanee

Juventus has received a significant boost ahead of the upcoming season as a new report indicates that Tottenham has decided to retain Dejan Kulusevski.

The talented attacker initially joined Tottenham on an 18-month loan deal, which expired at the conclusion of the Premier League season. Tottenham had hoped to retain his services, but it appeared likely that he would return to the Bianconeri after Spurs failed to secure a European spot.

With the uncertainty surrounding his future, Juventus would have had to seek out a new destination for Kulusevski. In a recent statement discussing his time at the London club, the player himself admitted to being uncertain about his future.

However, a report from Tuttomercatoweb has now provided an update on the situation, revealing that Tottenham has included Kulusevski in their pre-season plans for the upcoming season. This indicates that they envision him as a part of their future squad and intend to secure his permanent signing. Juventus now awaits the details of Tottenham’s offer for the player.

Kulusevski has no place in our current squad and we will have to find a new home for him if he moves back to the club.

However, this news that Spurs will keep him with them permanently is a huge relief for us and means we have offloaded one of the many deadwood on our books.

Leicester could be in for a huge relegation bonus with Tottenham and Newcastle in a battle for two of their biggest stars.

Both teams are set to push for James Maddison and Harvey Barnes, with a bidding war exactly what the Foxes need ahead of their Championship return.

The Sun reports that Leicester were hoping for £ 40 million each for the pair, but with two of the league’s biggest sides chasing both, their prices could skyrocket.

Maddison was the subject of a bid from Newcastle last summer but stayed for the season and is now entering the final year of his contract at the King Power Stadium.

That means Leicester have their final chance to sell the England international for a big profit, with the interest of multiple sides certainly welcome.

Barnes, meanwhile, has a contract with Leicester until 2025 but has similarly attracted big interest after as arguably the stand-out player this season for his boyhood team.

Both capped by Gareth Southgate, Maddison has retained his place in the Three Lions squad after the 2022 World Cup, while Barnes could be set for another call-up if his form continues.

With 13 goals for the Foxes this season, only Martin Odegaard has more among Premier League midfielders, meaning Spurs and Newcastle aren’t the only sides interested.

But Spurs and Newcastle may be inclined to make a big offer early, with Leicester keen to fill up their cash reserves ahead of a summer rebuild.
