Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone claims Leicester defender Caglar Soyuncu will sign for the Spanish side this summer.
The 27-year-old center-back is available on a free transfer after his contract expired at the East Midlands club.
And Soyuncu has agreed to a four-year deal with the La Liga outfit, according to the BBC.
Simeone appeared to confirm the signing in an interview with Spanish radio on Thursday.
The Argentine told Cope: ‘Atletico is going to sign what they can sign. We know what we need. Soyuncu is already signed and is going to help us.’
Soyuncu will be the second player to leave for free after Youri Tielemans.
The Foxes finished 18th in the Premier League this season and were relegated to the Championship.
The Turkey international joined Leicester from German side Freiburg for £19m in 2018. He made 132 appearances for the club, winning the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2021.
Soyuncu was frozen out by former manager Brendan Rodgers earlier in the season, but interim boss Dean Smith restored him to the side after taking over.
He made five appearances before missing the last three games of the campaign because of a hamstring injury.
Jonny Evans, Nampalys Mendy, Daniel Amartey, and Ryan Bertrand are also out of contract this summer.
