Joao Felix wants to join Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United in the summer transfer window after his spell at Chelsea, according to a report.
The Sun has reported that Joao Felix, who spent the second half of this season on loan at Chelsea from Atletico Madrid, is keen on a move to Newcastle United in the summer of 2023.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly decided that he does not want the Portugal international forward in his squad for next season.
So, the 23-year-old is now returning to his parent club Atletico Madrid.
Atletico wants the £250,000-a-week (The Sun) star gone, as head coach Diego Simeone reportedly does not fancy Felix, who has been linked with Arsenal as well.
According to The Sun, Felix has been offered to Paris Saint-Germain, but he “wants to stay in the Premier League and play Champions League football with Newcastle”.
Joao Felix would be a brilliant signing for Newcastle United
In our view, Joao Felix would be a very good signing for Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old can operate as a forward, attacking midfielder or winger.
The Portuguese star is a hugely talented player, and we believe that he would make the Magpies better.
Newcastle will play in the UEFA Champions League next season.
And Felix has experience of playing in Europe’s premier club competition.
Moreover, the forward is only 23, so there is every chance that he would grow and develop in the coming years.
