Gazzetta Dello Sport has revealed that Tottenham needs to ‘raise their offer’ if they are to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently.

The report sheds light on the latest developments in Spurs’ negotiations with Juventus for Kulusevski, stating that the Serie A giants are insisting the €35m (£30m) clause be paid.

However, the report adds that Tottenham continues to ask for a discount, with the North Londoners only offering €25m (£21.4) for the winger.

Spurs and Juventus remain in Kulusevski talks

Gazzetta says that the dialogue between the two clubs is ‘open’ as both parties want an agreement to be reached.

It is explained that even though Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte are no longer at Tottenham, Kulusevski has many admirers at the club, including chairman Daniel Levy.

The publication asserts that a positive conclusion can be reached but only if Spurs ‘raise their offer’.

This update comes just a couple of days after 90 Min reported that Ange Postecoglou is not too convinced by Kulusevski and that the 23-year-old would have to win the Australian over in order for Spurs to sign him.

Perhaps Tottenham would have paid the £30m clause for Kulusevski if Postecoglou had informed the club that he sees the winger having a key role under him.

It could be because of the Australian’s doubts over the 23-year-old that Spurs are haggling on the price as the club potentially foresee the Swede being just a squad player next season.
