JUST IN: Everton has made a smart move to sign a £20m amazing young star

In a recent print edition, The Sun on Sunday (18/6, Page 59) stated that Everton are planning to launch a £20m offer for Sheffield United forward Iliman Ndiaye. It has been claimed that the Toffees are hoping to move in for the Senegalese talent this summer.

Ndiaye’s Decent Run Of Form In The English Championship

Ndiaye enjoyed a fruitful campaign with the Blades as he managed to put in a run of impressive performances for them in front of the opponent’s goal. The 23-year-old banged in 15 goals and grabbed 12 assists in 52 matches for Sheffield United last season in multiple competitions.

FPL promoted picks: Sheff Utd's Ndiaye an all-round prospect

The Senegalese sensation has been a reliable performer in the final third based on his average of 1.5 shots, 1.1 key passes and 2.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in the EFL Championship. He has even been accurate when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half, based on his pass success rate of 82.2% in the second tier of English football (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at Sheffield United will run out at the end of next season which could open the door for the Toffees to land him in this off-season.

Is Ndiaye A Decent Choice For Everton Boss Sean Dyche?

Ndiaye can create space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He excels at testing the opposition keeper with his shot attempts. The Senegalese talent has already begun to prove his worth as a prolific presence in front of the opponent’s goal and has got the vision to create a few decent chances in the final third. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also function as an attacking midfielder if told to do so.

We can expect Ndiaye to bring more goals and creativity to Everton head coach Sean Dyche’s attack. He might even increase competition for places within the Merseyside club‘s match-day squad.

At 23, Ndiaye has got a promising future ahead of him which makes him a great choice for the Toffees to pursue during this summer transfer period. However, only time will tell whether the Senegalese striker can maintain his good form in Premier League football if Everton manage to bring him on board later this year.
