Everton midfielder Amadou Onana may reportedly be on the move this summer amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.

Everton embarrassment as Amadou Onana to Chelsea exchange deemed unlikely because nobody wants to go to Goodison Park | Goal.com Nigeria

According to Nieuwsblad Pieter-Jan Calcoen, the Belgium international is very unhappy at Goodison Park and wants out this summer.

The Blues are showing a keen interest in signing him while the Gunners also have him on their wishlist despite their pursuit of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

Via Twitter, Calcoen wrote, “Amadou Onana is very unhappy at Everton. He wants to leave the club in the summer. Chelsea is already showing interest, Arsenal also has the Red Devil on the wish list.”

Big money sale?

Everton did not sign Onana on the cheap and if he wants to leave after one season at the club, then he will not be allowed to go at a bargain.

Funds are tight at Goodison Park anyway and if they manage to make nearly twice what they paid for him, they could very well be in a comfortable position this summer.

Sean Dyche surely will be desperate to bring in new players through the door and while he might not want to lose the 21-year-old, he knows that he could find it hard to resist a move to Arsenal or Chelsea.

At one club, he will be offered European football and the chance to compete for silverware while at Chelsea too, they could come out all guns blazing under Mauricio Pochettino who could make Onana front and center of his rebuild.

Everton needs to lay the groundwork for new deals by now and hopefully, they get going sooner rather than later on incomings.

Alex Iwobi could also be another player that follows Onana out of the exit door as he has discussed his future while on international duty with Nigeria.
