West Ham already in talks with fresh player for new transfer, according to report

West Ham United transfer news as talks opened with Alex Scott already

ExWHUemployee has shared that West Ham has opened talks with highly-rated Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott, who has been on the Hammers’ radar for some time.

The online source reported in April that West Ham would be looking at Scott in the summer window, and has now shared that the clubs have entered preliminary discussions over a move for the young star.

Scott has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs, including Everton and Liverpool, following impressive displays in the Championship with Bristol City, leading manager Nigel Pearson to admit “There is always going to be speculation about somebody with his amount of talent.”

The 19-year-old made 42 Championship appearances last season for the Robins, scoring once and registering five assists, in an impressive breakthrough season in senior football.

He would be a real coup for the Hammers

After Declan Rice’s departure, with the Hammers captain set to join Arsenal, West Ham is bound to be linked to plenty of midfielders this summer – but Scott is not a Rice replacement.

With his ability and technique with the ball at his feet, with talent and creativity in abundance, the youngster is a much more advanced midfielder in terms of his position on the pitch.

This signing would be a real coup for West Ham, signing one of the most talented young players in the Championship, who could go on to follow in the footsteps of previous Championship stars such as Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze and Tottenham’s James Maddison.

With interest from a host of other Premier League clubs, the East London side has done well to begin talks early, hoping to get ahead of their competitors in what will be a hotly contested fight for this young man’s signature this summer.
