Agent says Tottenham move a ‘dream come true’ for 23-year-old with transfer close

A move to Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur is a ‘dream come’ true for former Fulham loanee and Shakhtar Donetsk ace Manor Solomon.

Whenever a player enlists the help of Pini Zahavi, that usually only means one thing.

One of football’s most influential super-agents, the veteran Zahavi is renowned for making big moves happen. It was he who helped secure Robert Lewandowski and David Alaba their switches to Barcelona and Real Madrid, while Pierre Emile Hojbjerg also signed himself up to Zahavi’s stable shortly before swapping Southampton for Tottenham Hotspur back in 2020.

Manor Solomon will soon be joining Hojbjerg at Spurs, presuming the Denmark international stays put amid interest from Atletico Madrid.

The winger’s camp has already confirmed that he will officially put pen to paper with the London giants this week; Zahavi helping smooth over a complicated deal that will eventually see Solomon join on a free transfer despite having six months left on his Shakhtar Donetsk contract.

Tottenham wins the race for former Fulham man Manor Solomon

“Tottenham is the most suitable (club) for him,” Zahavi tells Sport1, highlighting the role new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou played in their thinking.

“Because, this season, they will be playing attractive football. The coach advocates attacking football, different from the past.

“I supported the idea, and in doing so I made Solomon’s dream come true.”

Postecoglou got the best out of a number of skillful wide players at Celtic. Solomon should thrive in the Australian’s free-flowing approach, though the right-footed left winger will first have to find a way to force Heung Min-Son out of Postecoglou’s starting XI.

Tottenham, meanwhile, fought off competition from Aston Villa and West Ham United. The former Fulham loanee scored five goals under Marco Silva last term. He had also been lined up as a replacement for the Chelsea-bound Christopher Nkunku at Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig.
