As per today’s version of La Gazzetta Dello Sport (news image provided below), the transfer saga surrounding the Inter Milan star is very close to a conclusion as ‘the last scene should be shot in the red half of Manchester, and soon too.’

The news source mentioned that yesterday, the Red Devils made their first offer of 45 million euros to lure the Nerazzurri shot-stopper.

However, the Serie A giants rejected the bid. Now, the ‘decision is being made to take the decisive step’ and Man Utd prepare an offer of £ 42.8 million (50 million euros), which is likely to be submitted today.

Gazzetta claim Inter Milan want 60 million euros but yesterday, the Milan-based media outlet revealed that the Italian side will give the go-ahead to complete the transfer if they receive around 50 million euros (£ 42.8 million).

The Serie A giants will send an initial proposal to London for Romelu Lukaku once they have secured a deal to sell Onana to Man Utd.

The 27-year-old Cameroonian star had a brilliant season in the goal under the management of Simone Inzaghi but to improve the accounts, the club is prepared to ‘sacrifice’ him.

GdS claim Erik ten Hag himself explained to Onana, on the phone, how he would like to utilize him at Old Trafford.
