20-year-old Spurs attacker seen training with first-team – Tackled Ndombele then scored
In the video released by Tottenham earlier this week, academy midfielder Yago Santiago was seen training with the first team, with the youngster even producing one eye-catching moment in the small-sided game.
Ange Postecoglou and his new-look coaching staff, which consists of Ryan Mason, Matt Wells, Rob Burch, Chris Davies, and Mile Jedinak, have been putting the non-international Spurs stars through their paces at Hotspur Way over the last week.
With the bulk of the Spurs squad, who were involved in international fixtures last month, set to return next week, some youngsters from the academy have been called up to train with the senior squad.
One man who was seen involved in a small-sided game with the senior players was Santiago, who established himself as a key part of the Under-21s set-up last season.

The versatile attacking midfielder, who can also operate on either flank, scored seven goals and registered two assists in Premier League last season (Transfermarkt).
In the short training clip, the 20-year-old could be seen robbing possession from Tanguy Ndombele before producing a composted finish into the far corner.

Given Postecoglou’s willingness to trust young players, this is a great opportunity for the academy starlets, especially the likes of Dane Scarlett, Mathew Craig, and Alfie Devine to impress the Australian and fast-track themselves into the first team.
