Medical complete: West Ham angry as player left in solitude – report

West Ham United angry as Declan Rice left in solitude over Arsenal transfer

West Ham have been left fuming after experiencing a long delay in the proposed deal to sell Declan Rice to Arsenal, according to The Sun.

A deal worth up to £105million was agreed between the two sides nine days ago, but the newspaper is reporting that the Hammers hierarchy is becoming “tired of the drawn-out process” and has been left with a “bitter taste” following the Gunners’ negotiations.

The Sun claims the East Londoners are concerned they may now miss out on key targets this summer due to the deal taking so long.

It is understood that Rice is currently training in solitude in Portugal while he waits for the deal to be done.

Unnecessary

It seems completely unnecessary for this seemingly never-ending transfer saga to be carrying on, given that a fee has been agreed upon and Rice has even passed his medical to move to the Emirates.

The latest delay to the deal is now reportedly down to Arsenal’s lawyers, who are yet to sign off on the contract for the England international.

It has been the Gunners that have delayed the move from taking place at every turn during this transfer window following their early low offers and continued stalling.

It seems incredibly unlikely the Hammers would ever get to the point where they decide to walk around from the deal because it’s taking too long, but Arsenal’s actions haven’t been very professional and it’s understandable the hierarchy is frustrated.

Everyone associated will now just want this saga to come to an end and it’s important it comes to a close as soon as possible so we can move on and begin our summer spending.

In other West Ham news, Juventus have expressed an interest in an exit-linked Hammers star.
