Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has officially announced the signing of two key stars as Harry Kane replacement

Tottenham chief Daniel Levy ‘wants two players’ to replace Harry Kane after final warning

Harry Kane has put Tottenham in an awkward position amid interest from Bayern Munich in a summer transfer.

Tottenham will reportedly seek out one in-house solution and one summer transfer recruit to fill the void left by Harry Kane if he leaves the club. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is already in an unenviable position regarding the England captain’s future, and Kane’s stance on signing a new contract will only make his job more difficult.

The fact that Kane has only one year left to run on his contract poses a conundrum to senior figures at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Waving goodbye to their best player would be a bitter pill to swallow for fans, but losing the striker for free in 12 months’ time would be equally painful

According to The Times, any hopes of the Spurs academy graduate signing a new deal have gone up in smoke. Kane has no plans to commit his future to the club, serving as a final warning to Levy that this summer is his last remaining chance to cash in.

The 29-year-old is the subject of serious interest from Bayern Munich, and he is thought to be keen on joining up with manager Thomas Tuchel in the Bundesliga.

Two bids have been rejected by Spurs, with the latest offer tipping the scales at an initial £68.5million, and Bayern will have to up their proposal towards the nine-figure mark if they are to convince Levy to do business.

Providing a deal is thrashed out and Kane waves goodbye to nearly two decades of association with Tottenham, Levy and manager Ange Postecoglou have reportedly earmarked two players to replace him.

The first solution is already right under fans’ noses, with Richarlison ‘expected’ to shift into a central area and lead the line for Postecoglou on a weekly basis. Spurs fans could be forgiven for any apprehension given that the 26-year-old only managed one Premier League goal last term, but he has serious pedigree with the Brazilian national team.

The Selecao’s undisputed central striker has bagged an impressive 20 goals in 44 matches at international level, while he also put up good numbers at previous.

Postecoglou won’t pile all the pressure on Richarlison’s shoulders, however. Reports indicate that, with the money banked from Kane’s potential sale, the Londoners would also go after a ‘young forward’ in the transfer market.

Dusan Vlahovic and Randal Kolo Muani have both been linked to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since the transfer window swung open, although fans may have to be patient before a breakthrough is made in attacking areas.
