Latest Stoke City transfer news as the Potters confirm the return of Ki-Jana Hoever on loan from Wolves

Stoke City has confirmed the return of defender Ki-Jana Hoever on loan from Wolves.

The 21-year-old returns to the bet365 Stadium having spent the second half of last season with the Potters, making 15 appearances in the Championship. Having played at left-back during his temporary spell, he quickly became a fan favorite and now returns for a second loan term.

However, has signed a new contract at Wolves and immediately re-joins Stoke. The deal reportedly has a January recall option, and he will be reportedly followed to the club by Wolves teammate Chiquinho, a 23-year-old winger.

Dutchman Hoever becomes Alex Neil’s fifth signing of the summer, following the permanent arrivals of Enda Stevens, Ben Pearson, Michael Rose, and Daniel Johnson.

“Ki-Jana showed his ability to be influential within the system that Alex operates last season,” said Technical Director Ricky Martin.

“It has always been our intention to bring him back to Stoke City this summer and, while we have had to show patience to finalize his return, we are delighted to have him in the building ahead of the new season.
