Anthony Elanga medical details emerge as Man Utd agree to Nottingham Forest transfer

The latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive brings you an update on Anthony Elanga’s imminent move to the City Ground

Manchester United's Anthony Elanga

Anthony Elanga is set to undergo a medical on Monday at Nottingham Forest, it has been claimed.

Elanga is set to join Forest after a £ 15 million fee was agreed with Manchester United. He will become Forest’s second summer signing following the arrival of Ola Aina.

Forest has beaten off competition from Everton, Red Bull Leipzig, and Borussia Dortmund to land the winger, while talks are ongoing over a deal for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

According to the Daily Mail, Elanga is set to have a medical on Monday (July 24) ahead of his move to the City Ground.

Reds boss Steve Cooper has spoken about the club’s desire to make more signings this summer. “We have to, we know that. We’re very joined up. There’s really positive communication between the ownership and Ross (Wilson, chief football officer) and myself. We know what we want to do.

“Obviously these things can be easier said than done. It seems like a slow market. We can’t be too impatient, even though we want players to come through the door and players to return from injury. But that’s the normal process. You want quality coming in. We need players to come in and affect the starting team, affect the playing style, and who can make a difference.”
