PEDRO PORRO: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR COMPLETE SIGNING OF SPANISH RIGHT-BACK FROM PORTUGUESE SIDE SPORTING LISBON
At one stage, Tottenham Hotspur thought they weren’t going to be able to sign Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon because the Portuguese side weren’t going to be able to get a replacement in.
However, that situation changed, and as a result, Spurs could close on the move for Porro to give manager Antonio Conte some much-needed reinforcements. Matt Doherty has left to join Atletico Madrid.
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Spanish right-back Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon.
Porro, 23, has joined on loan until the end of the season, with an obligation to make the deal permanent in the summer.
Spurs had been linked to Porro for the majority of the window, but any move was conditional on Sporting being able to find a replacement. It seemed as if the move would break down when it became doubtful Sporting could find one.
