Stoke City has landed a player who can send fans ‘crazy’ with his talent in Chiquinho.

That is according to Andre Vidigal, who has joined the Wolves man at the Championship side ahead of 2023/24.

Wolves are hoping Chiquinho can enjoy a really productive season after his awful knee injury.

Chiquinho did not play a single minute for the Wolves last season, after sustaining the injury in pre-season last year.

The winger did actually return to training around February this year. But he was not in a position to play games.

Chiquinho is now ready to get going for Stoke and has already impressed fans with a couple of cameo appearances in pre-season.

But Potters fans have seen nothing yet, as suggested by Vidigal.

Vidigal reckons Wolves winger Chiquinho is special

Vidigal signed for Stoke after running down his contract at his previous club Marítimo.

Before that, he had a loan spell at Portuguese club Estoril, which is the club Wolves bought Chiquinho from.

The pair played together there and so Vidigal has a good idea about what the 23-year-old can bring.

Speaking to stokecityfc.com, he said: “He is a young player. He can send the supporters crazy. Because he likes to dribble, he likes to do skills.

“You know the Portuguese players have a lot of quality and we can do it together – this kind of thing on the pitch. Like dribbling, scoring goals assists.”

Chiquinho has already caught the eye, putting in a lively display against Burton Albion.

He also featured against Everton.

Chiquinho must watch his step in the Championship

Stoke fans will be excited by this verdict from Vidigal, who obviously knows Chiquinho well.

Hopefully, he can just play as much as possible this season, after missing the whole of the last campaign.

It will certainly be interesting to see how he gets on.

Chiquinho is quite an expressive player.

He likes a trick, and he likes to run.

Potentially then, he is going to kick quite a lot this season. Given the Championship is famous for being a physical league.

Hopefully, he can avoid any nasty challenges that may come his way and help Stoke finish as high up the table as possible.
