Tottenham Hotspur Lining Up Forward For Loan Exit

Tottenham Hotspur forward Dane Scarlett is being lined up for a loan move away from the club, according to the Independent.

The 19-year-old frontman is regarded as an exciting prospect for the future in north London.

The Spurs academy graduate made his first team debut in late 2020 and he was also given the chance to play in Europa League matches in the 2021/22 campaign.

Scarlett spent last season with League One side Portsmouth, where he played 40 times and made eight goal contributions in the process.

He has returned to his parent club this summer and impressed the new boss Ange Postecoglou with his pre-season displays.

However, he is not expected to register enough first-team minutes under his belt if he stays in the Premier League with Spurs.

The north Londoners are willing to let Scarlett leave on loan this summer to get first-team football to ensure his growth.

Galatasaray increase their transfer offer for Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele

According to Turkish football journalist Ertan Suzgun, Galatasaray have upped their initial transfer offer for Tottenham Hotspur star Tanguy Ndombele to €8 million and will pay the fee in shorter instalments.

Ndombele joined Tottenham in the summer of 2019 as a record signing for the club but things have not turned as expected for the Frenchman. He spent last season out on loan at Napoli and the club are willing to ship him out this summer.

At this point, there is no doubt that Tottenham will have to sell Ndombele at a loss and it is only a question of how much. Even a Saudi club might not be able to help Spurs to get a profit on the former Lyon star.

To be fair to Ndombele, he has always had the talent. It is easy to understand why Tottenham took a huge gamble on him and paid all that money. However, the attitude of a player is not something that one can find out beforehand.

Last season, on loan, Ndombele was not particularly extraordinary but he also did not have a bad campaign. Despite all that, Tottenham are still struggling to find a buying club for the French midfielder.Ndombele returns to Lyon as midfielder signs on loan from Tottenham until end of season | Goal.com

Galatasaray’s bid does not necessarily seem appealing and Tottenham will be in no rush to accept it. Even if they want to make a sale, it only makes sense if the transfer offer for him is significant.

Nothing that we have seen in pre-season suggests that Ange Postecoglou in particular trust Ndombele and wants to give him another chance, unlike Giovani Lo Celso, who seems to have won over the manager.

One thing that could work in favour of Ndombele is that there is no one who comes close to Yves Bissouma in terms of profile than the Frenchman does. With the Mali international’s injury woes, Tottenham might choose to keep Ndombele.

At this point, it is still not clear what the future holds for Ndombele. He still has a chance to turn it around. Whether it is at Tottenham or elsewhere remains to be seen.
