Tottenham Hotspur has signed a talented world-class striker who is faster than haaland

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur is interested in signing Nottingham Forest striker Brennan Johnson as a potential replacement for Harry Kane if the England captain is sold.

Forest boss Steve Cooper is reportedly reluctant to part with the talented attacker, but financial constraints and the need to balance the books may force them to consider offers.

Aston Villa and Brentford have also shown interest in signing Johnson, with the latter having already had a £35 million bid turned down by Forest.

The Welshman has impressed with his rapid speed, making him the fastest forward in the Premier League.

According to the Mirror, The Welshman is the fastest forward in the Premier League with a rapid speed of 36.70kmh.

Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon is second with 36.61 km, Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez third with 36.53 km and Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland fourth with 36.22 km.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich’s attempts to sign Harry Kane have been unsuccessful so far, with their latest bid of £85 million rejected by Tottenham.

However, the German club remains optimistic about bridging the gap to meet Tottenham’s valuation for the star striker.

If Tottenham manages to secure Brennan Johnson’s signature, they would be acquiring a top talent with a trajectory similar to that of Harry Kane at his boyhood club.

The Welshman’s attributes are also said to bear similarities to those of Tottenham legend Gareth Bale.

As the transfer window nears its conclusion, the situations surrounding both Brennan Johnson and Harry Kane will be closely monitored.

TBH says:

If they sign Brennan Johnson, Tottenham will have found themselves a top young striker.

They will also have found a Welshman with some attributes similar to that of club legend Gareth Bale.

Could he be our Bale 2.0?

Tottenham is set to sign Ashley Phillips this week

Tottenham Hotspur is set to land Blackburn Rover’s sensation Ashley Phillips for a mere £2 million

According to the Evening Standard, Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a summer deal for Blackburn Rovers starlet Ashley Phillips.

The 18-year-old is one of the best young players in his age group and will be an excellent addition to the Spurs Academy. The teenager is keen to make the move to North London and it would appear that the switch is just a matter of when rather than if.

Tottenham appeared to have wrapped up a deal for the youngster last month when they agreed a deal of around £3 million up-front and a further £2 million in add-ons. Phillips also travelled to London for a medical and an agreement appeared all but done.

Blackburn threw a wrench in the works when they shifted goalposts in the penultimate hour, demanding an initial £5m fee plus £4.5m in bonuses. But any hope the Championship side had of inciting a bidding war fell on deaf ears and Tottenham remain the only side in the fray.

In fact, this delay has worked in Tottenham’s favor as they can secure the 18-year-olf for a mere £2m. Phillips’s low release clause becomes active this Friday as the Championship season draws near. Daniel Levy sure loves himself a bargain and the Phillips deal is right up his alley, even if it is Blackburn who shot themselves in the foot.

All hope is not lost for Blackburn who are keen to include bonuses in the deal, potentially taking the worth of the transfer to £6.5m should all the criteria be met. These clauses are related to appearances and international caps won. If the center-back does go on to achieve big things, Tottenham should not have too many issues forking out the aforementioned bonuses.

Forest could sign 30 new players by selling Brennan Johnson, but his ability will be cherished

Phillips is far from ready for the first team and will need some time and development to do before being thrown into the far end. The teenager is a giant of a player with good physicality to boot. He is also adept on the ball and has the hallmarks of developing into a top-flight regular.

Tottenham is eyeing a center-back this summer and has been linked with Edmond Tapsoba and Micky Van de Ven. As things stand, signing Phillips is unlikely to impact the club’s pursuit of a senior addition.
