The Red welcome £170m player: Liverpool finally get their man in five-year deal

Liverpool gets their man

Liverpool has agreed on a five-year deal with young Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, according to reports, after weeks of pursuing his signature.

Terms have been agreed with the player and a deal with Southampton is now imminent, according to respected journalist Sacha Tavolieri. Lavia is ready and awaiting the green light to undergo a medical at Anfield.

Tavolieri said: “These will be crucial days for the transfer of Roméo Lavia to Liverpool. Personally, there has been an agreement for some time. Lavia waits for the green light to take his medical tests with the Reds. Liverpool will make a third and ultimate attempt to sign Lavia from Southampton.

“They want to seduce the Saints with 40 million euros + bonuses for the young Belgian. Lavia has a 5-year contract at Anfield.”

€100m bid for Harry Kane

Bayern Munich has submitted a new offer of more than €100 million for Harry Kane – with bonus payments included.

Sky Germany is reporting that Bayern expects an answer in the next few hours, with a deal for the England skipper closer than ever.

Spurs have been reluctant to sell their leader but face losing him for free next summer when his contract runs out.

Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Manchester City are on the brink of signing RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol in a €90million deal.

Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, the City boss joked: “Gvardiol, what a beautiful surname he has! He is doing a medical test.

“Everybody knows he is here. Hopefully, we can finish the deal in the next few hours or days.”

Man Utd agrees £70m double deal

Man Utd have reportedly exchanged medical records with West Ham as the transfers of Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay are agreed.

The duo is said to be completing long-distance medicals out in the USA after Erik ten Haag’s decision to sell them, the Express and journalist Alan Nixon report.

United have previously rejected West Ham’s offers for Maguire, but a compromise fee of around £30m is set to be accepted. United have been looking for £40m for McTominay. The Hammers have money in the bank after selling Declan Rice to Arsenal for more than £100m.

Maguire was stripped of the captaincy at Old Trafford earlier this summer.
