Coventry City have signed defender Leo Ostigard on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 20-year-old center-back has joined the Sky Blues on a season-long deal ahead of their 2020-21 Championship campaign.

He becomes Coventry’s seventh new arrival of the summer transfer window.

The Norway Under-21 international started out at Molde in his homeland before joining Brighton in 2018.

He is yet to make his senior debut for the Premier League outfit, though has featured in the EFL Trophy for the club’s under-21 side.

Ostigard spent last season on loan at Bundesliga 2 side FC St Pauli in Germany, where he made 28 appearances.

It is understood that St Pauli was keen to retain his services, while there was also plenty of interest from other clubs.

However, Coventry has got their man and he will link up with his new team-mates this week at Ryton.
