Tottenham reject renewed bid for senior ace with fast expiring contract

According to popular football journalist David Ornstein, Tottenham Hotspur are set to reject the latest bid from Bayern Munich for English superstar Harry Kane.

Bayern have been relentlessly following Kane for quite some time now but they have seen all their offers until now rebuffed by Daniel Levy. However, the German club do not seem keen on giving up at all.

The latest bid that was submitted last week garnered a lot of interest but it has now emerged that Tottenham have rejected that bid too. Daniel Levy still feels Bayern’s offer is short of his valuation.

From the way things are going, Daniel Levy seems to have no intention of letting Kane leave. He just seems to be toying with Bayern, patiently rejecting bid after bid despite the player’s desire to leave.

Can we blame him though? We all saw Harry Kane and what he can do in the game against Shakhtar Donetsk in the pre-season friendly where the English superstar netted four goals in an impressive Spurs performance.

If Bayern do not return with an improved bid, Tottenham would have successfully managed to thwart interest from the German giants and they can be confident of keeping Kane at the club for the time being.

Kane himself does not seem overly keen on leaving Tottenham. As much as he wants to move to Bayern Munich, he is not forcing his way out of the club and seems okay with settling at the club if it comes to that.

Who knows, if Tottenham can show ambition and win a couple of trophies this season, it might cause a change of heart for Kane and he might end up signing a new long-term deal to stay here.

For all we know, that’s what Daniel Levy is trying! Bayern may continue dangling the carrot and let’s see if it turns out to be irresistible for our chairman at some point.
