TOTTENHAM LEGEND GRAHAM ROBERTS ISSUES EIGHT-WORD RESPONSE TO RODRIGO BENTANCUR INJURY NEWS
Graham Roberts has told Rodrigo Bentancur to ‘hurry up’ and ‘come back’ as the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder steps up his recovery following a long-term injury.
The Tottenham legend stated on Twitter that ‘we miss him’ after the midfielder suffered an ACL injury in February that has since ruled him out of action.
When Rodrigo Bentancur was last on the pitch for Spurs, it was Antonio Conte in the dugout, but by the time he returns, not only is another manager in Ange Postecoglou in charge, but Harry Kane might not even be at the club.
That would be a sea change and a big shame that Bentancur, who has been a class player for Spurs, not being able to play in what will now be an attacking midfield, with Kane up top, although, that hasn’t happened yet and it seems as though Daniel Levy is pushing away all the bids from Bayern Munich.
With the new Premier League season set to kick off, Spurs posted on their socials of Bentancur running and ‘stepping up his rehab’.
Those pictures would have lifted the mood of the Spurs fans because they need him back in action, as soon as possible, with Roberts sharing his thoughts below.
Maddison-Bissouma-Bentancur
Tottenham have to wait a while yet, but it’s edging closer to them being able to see James Maddison, Yves Bissouma and Bentancur ball it out in the middle of the park.
James Maddison speaks for himself and he is a player Spurs have long craved for, whilst Bissouma will play in a much better system this season and produce the goods.
Then there is the ‘leader’ Bentencur, who was one of his side’s best players last season, even though he stopped playing in February and they declined with their performances.
