BIRMINGHAM CITY SIGN MIDFIELDER AGG

Birmingham City has completed the signing of former London City Lionesses midfielder Lily Agg on a free transfer.

FAWSL Full-Time was informed of the news via an official club press release from the Blues this afternoon.

It has been reported that the player has signed an initial one-year deal at St Andrew’s with the option of an additional year.

Agg joins Birmingham City after leaving their former club London City Lionesses at the end of last season.

The midfielder spent four seasons with The Pride in which she played an instrumental role for the club in the middle of the pitch.

Agg made 47 appearances for London City Lionesses in the Barclays Women’s Championship while she scored six goals.

On the international stage, Agg has represented the Republic of Ireland on 10 occasions.

The player has been in and around Vera Pauw’s squad for the last 12 months after making her debut for the nation last summer.

She was a member of the Republic of Ireland squad which performed bravely at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023.

Agg becomes Birmingham City head coach Darren Carter’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.

The Blues are looking very strong going into the new Barclays Women’s Championship season.
