Wolves £14m player who was out for two months due to injury is now back in training

£14m player Lopetegui loved simply must start for Wolves next weekend, he deserves to

Wolves suffered their second Premier League defeat of the season yesterday, losing 4-1 at home to Brighton.

Gary O’Neil’s side fell way short at Molineux, against a very good Brighton side.

Fans were looking forward to this game.

The performance against Manchester United on Monday offered a lot of positives.

But Wolves could not replicate that level against the Seagulls, who tore Wolves apart in the second-half.

Wolves did OK in the first-half, but Kaoru Mitoma scored a world-class solo goal.

Wolves had good chances through Fabio Silva and Rayan Ait-Nouri but couldn’t convert.

Then came the shambolic 10-minute period after the restart in which Brighton scored three times.

One of the only positives of the day for Wolves was Hwang Hee-chan getting on the scoresheet.

And the South Korean simply must start for Wolves next weekend against Everton…

Hwang Hee-chan deserves to start for Wolves against Everton

O’Neil decided to hand Silva a start in attack yesterday, with Matheus Cunha also up there supporting. It was the set-up many Wolves fans had wanted to see.

But the youngster did not take his chance and will be very lucky to start against Everton.

One man who surely must start though against Everton is Hwang, who has looked sharp for Wolves for weeks now.

The 27-year-old looked great in pre-season, and was dangerous when he came on against United on Monday.

Yesterday, he went on with Wolves 4-0 down, and did his utmost to give Wolves something. It is always difficult for players coming on at such a scoreline.

But Hwang did well, and scored a nice header at the back post for Wolves’ first goal of the season.

Hwang currently the most likely source of a goal for Wolves

At the moment, Hwang looks like the most likely scorer at Wolves.

But at the very least, the £14 million star will provide excellent work rate for Wanderers and is a player fans can get behind.

Fans will always appreciate a hardworking player and Hwang has always been that.

It is thought Hwang was a player that former manager Julen Lopetegui really appreciated during his time at Molineux. There’s no doubt the Spaniard would have used him more had Hwang not picked up a hamstring injury in February. It really halted his momentum at the time.

He’s now got Wolves’ only goal of the season so far, and he does definitely look the biggest threat in front of goal right now.

He’s also been creative. He put a chance on a plate for Ait-Nouri late on yesterday.

Without doubt, Hwang deserves to start against Everton.
