Leeds united star has joined Brentford on a two-year contract

Sources: Brentford make move for Leeds United star Sinisterra

Brentford have made enquiries over a potential deal for Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed the Bees see a deal for the 24-year-old as a possible bargain as the summer window approaches a conclusion.

A number of clubs across Europe are also keen on signing Sinisterra – including former side Feyenoord and Ligue 1 outfit Nice.

The Colombia international has missed Leeds’ last two Championship fixtures as he looks for a move away from relegated Leeds.

He joined the Yorkshire giants from Feyenoord for a reported fee of £21million just last summer (2022).

As such, Sinisterra is under contract at Elland Road until June 2027.

The winger managed seven goals and one assist in just over 1000 minutes of football in the 2022-23 campaign as Leeds were relegated from the Premier League.

He earned the move to England after racking up 23 goals and 14 assists for across 49 games for Feyenoord in the 2021-22 season.

Brentford are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements after losing striker Ivan Toney to a suspension late last season.

Leeds Utd verging on record Luis Sinisterra coup to replace Raphinha, though key clause could dampen spirits

Toney, who managed 20 league goals last term, is not set to return to action until 17 January 2024.

Nevertheless, Brentford managed to beat rivals Fulham 3-0 on Saturday (19 August).

In other news, Bayern Munich have active interest in Leeds star.
