Norwich City has signed a key man from PSG

Norwich City land USA youth international Sebastian Soto

Norwich City are delighted to announce the signing of USA youth international striker Sebastian Soto on a deal until the summer of 2023.

The 20-year-old joins City after his contract with German 2.Bundesliga side Hannover expired.

Soto began his youth career with San Diego Surf in his home state of California before moving to Real Salt Lake of the MLS in 2016.

He then joined Hannover in 2018, making his professional debut against Wolfsburg in April 2019.

Soto starred in last summer’s Under-20 FIFA World Cup, scoring four times as USA made it to the quarter-finals.

Speaking exclusively to canaries.co.uk, Soto said: “It’s a proud feeling. It’s super exciting to join Norwich City.

“The facilities here are really impressive. From the minute I arrived here, it’s given me a lot of excitement.

Being a young player, it’s nice to hear that the head coach gives us a chance. It was a big factor in me moving here.

“I’m striker that loves scoring goals. I love being part of a good team that plays good football.”

The youngster is looking forward to one day playing in front of a sell-out Carrow Road.

He added: “[I’m most looking forward to] playing at Carrow Road, in front of these great fans and making my mark here.

“It will be a dream come true when that happens.”
