LEICESTER CITY COMPLETE THE SIGNING OF MIDFIELDER PALMER

Leicester City have completed the signing of midfielder Aimee Palmer on a free transfer.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this afternoon.

Palmer joins Leicester City after leaving her former club Bristol City earlier this summer. She has signed an initial one-year contract at The King Power Stadium.

The midfielder enjoyed two spells with former club Bristol City. Palmer’s latest spell with The Robins resulted in her winning the Barclays Women’s Championship title with the club last season. She made 18 appearances for Bristol City in the Barclays Women’s Championship last term.

After completing her move to Leicester City, Palmer said “I am delighted to have got the move over the line. My ambitions match those of the Club so it’s great to finally be here.

“I’ve been around the group for a few days now and the culture fits with me very well. I’m excited to put the shirt on for the first time and get going.”

Palmer becomes Leicester City manager Willie Kirk’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window. The Foxes boss has also added Courtney Nevin, Janina Leitzig, Lena Petermann and Janice Cayman to his squad this summer.
