Everton Complete The Capture Of This Talented Forward: What Will He Add To Dyche’s Side?

Everton have confirmed on their official website that they have completed the capture of Beto from Udinese this summer. It has been revealed that the Portuguese forward has penned a four-year contract with the Toffees.

Beto’s Up And Down Campaign In Serie A

The 25-year-old had an inconsistent season at Udinese recently as he struggled to be productive for them in the final third. Beto featured in 34 matches for the Italian outfit in the previous campaign, scoring ten times and picking up a couple of assists across all fronts.

The Lisboa-born attacker gave a good account of himself at times in the opponent’s half and did well to average 1.8 shots, 0.7 key passes, and 1.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A football. However, he needs to work on improving his ball distribution after completing 65.7% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Italian football (stats via Whoscored).

Now that Beto has penned a long-term deal with Everton, he will be expected to make a difference for them in the Premier League.

What Will Beto Add To Everton Head Coach Sean Dyche’s Team?

Beto can create a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He can even set up some promising chances for his teammates in the final third. The Portuguese sensation is also quite clever with his runs in and around the opponent’s penalty box. However, he needs to work on improving his link-up play on the attacking end of the field.

We can expect Beto to add more firepower to Everton head coach Sean Dyche’s attack. He will no doubt offer some serious competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Goodison Park in the coming seasons.

At 25, Beto will only get better in the coming seasons. Thus, the Toffees have done well to get him on board during this summer transfer period. His goals could help the Merseyside club steer clear of the relegation zone in the Premier League this season.

Beto Signs For Everton

However, there are some serious concerns over whether Beto has what it takes to cope with the physical nature and high intensity of English football. Still, Everton were desperate to add more goals to their attack, so Beto fits the bill perfectly as he can be a streaky goal-getter for them in the final third.
