Glen Kamara, a midfielder from Finland, has officially been acquired by Leeds from Rangers.

The 27-year-old joined Elland Road for an unknown amount and has since signed a four-year contract.

The former Arsenal and Dundee player scored 11 goals in 193 games for Rangers, but he hasn’t started a game since the Light Blues’ defeat to Celtic in the League Cup final in February. This season, he hasn’t even been considered for the first team.

52-cap veteran Kamara joins Leeds as the club’s ninth summer addition. The Sky Bet Championship team has also been linked to a move for Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley.

Ilia Gruev, a midfielder for Werder Bremen, was acquired by Leeds earlier in the recruitment process for an undisclosed sum.

The four-year deal brought the international player from Bulgaria to Elland Road.

With Danilo, we had hoped to acquire that, but for some reason, Beale has been reluctant to play him from the beginning, preferring Cyriel Dessers.

Rangers has to make some tactical adjustments, and widening the assault would be a nice place to start. A last-minute transfer on the deadline day would also be beneficial.

Beale may have had a successful start to the transfer window, but he needs to have a strong finish as well.
