Former players new roles
Former Leeds defender David Weatherroll has joined Huddersfield Town as strategic advisor to Academy development. The 52-year-old, who also played for Bradford City, spent eight years as a player at the Whites. He appeared in 506 games in his career until his retirement in 2008.
The striker was on the radar
Falke is said to have made an offer for West Brom striker Brandon Thomas-Asante late in the last transfer window. The 24-year-old, who joined the Baggies from Salford City, scored nine goals in all competitions last season.
Speaking to ITV’s EFL Highlights over the weekend, Simon Watts said:
‘The Baggies rejected a rather cheeky £2million bid from Stoke and Leeds for Brandon Thomas Assante last week. I decided and showed my worth to the team.”

Leeds will resume his action in an away game after London v Millwall on Sunday 17 September. The Lions may have to give up on signing Joe Bryan this summer.
Their boss, Gary Rowett, provided an update on the injury to London News Online.
“He picked up a sore groin on Tuesday so he’ll probably be ready to play until after the international break. It’s hard for any team to get the kind of continuity they want, and we have to deal with that.”
