Wolverhampton Wanderers are in good shape ahead of the weekend’s Premier League trip to Luton Town, with only a small handful of players at risk of missing out.

The Hatters, meanwhile, are in a similar position but do have more certainty that some key men will be sidelined for their second league game of the season at Kenilworth Road.

Form-wise, Wanderers are the better team this term but only because of the lack of wins for Luton. The Old Gold are three points ahead despite picking up just one victory.

Rob Edwards’ side will be looking at this fixture as one of the most winnable yet having faced Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, West Ham United and Fulham so far.

1. Ross Barkley (Luton Town) – doubt

The midfielder is being assessed. “Ross picked up a slight hamstring strain in the international break in training; he shouldn’t be too long,” Edwards said on September 16.

2. Dan Potts (Luton Town) – ruled out
Expected to miss out for a while. “Pottsy for a number of months, unfortunately,” Edwards said on August 24.

3. Jordan Clark (Luton Town) – ruled out

Another Hatters man sidelined for a lengthy period. “Same as Pottsy, out for a number of months,” Edwards said on August 24.
