The Whites have now preserved four consecutive clean sheets and have been more defensively tenacious and difficult to break down in recent weeks.

Matteo stated that he is pleased that Leeds have been more disciplined at the back and that the players have put their bodies on the line to ensure that they do not concede goals.

The former White stressed that the current Leeds players understand the physical and mental commitment required to match Daniel Farke’s and the Leeds fans’ expectations.

“I think they did put their bodies on the line, we saw it all over the park, and I think that’s what the manager will demand,” the ex-Leeds United defender stated on LUTV.

“And if you’re playing for Leeds United, that’s what the fans want, and they want you to put your body on the line every game.”
