He has consistently performed for Spurs and has been one of the team’s greatest players for a number of years.

He scored a hat-trick against Burnley in their 5-2 victory, then on Sunday, he scored twice against Arsenal.

The Tottenham skipper has now scored five goals in as many games.

He had a difficult season last year while playing for Italian boss Antonio Conte, scoring just 10 league goals.

But with the Australian manager in charge, he is back to his best.

And according to Garth Crooks, Son has significantly improved since being named captain.

After the match, he spoke to BBC:

“Tottenham performed admirably against their opponents in north London. It takes real grit, and Son showed plenty of it, to fall behind twice away at Emirates Stadium after the most stunning penalty decision was made against you.

“Since Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich, I’ve noticed a maturity in Son’s game that I haven’t noticed before. This season, I also see a better team player. Son scored both goals for Tottenham with precision.

There have been rumors that Tottenham would soon present him with a new, generous deal that will allow him to earn a sizable salary from the team.

The player reportedly wants to extend his stint at the North London team as well.
