The Brazilian media spoke with Norwich City player Gabriel Sara ahead of tonight’s EFL Cup match against Fulham.

Following his debut season in the Championship, the 24-year-old is off to another strong start this season, with one goal and three assists in the league so far, and is pleased with his adaption to English football.

Sara also expressed gratitude to Norwich City fans for their support since his arrival at the club.

“My adaptation to the game and to life here has really been quicker than I imagined,” he stated to the media.

“I already feel at home in England, and I’m at a loss for words to express my gratitude to the fans.”

“Unfortunately, we missed out on the Premier League last season, but I think we’ve got a great chance of making it this year.”
Regarding tonight’s game against Fulham, Sara says he’s excited to be playing against a team full of Brazilians, and he’ll attempt to make the most of the opportunity.

“It’s going to be a very tough game, that’s for sure, especially at their place,” he stated.

“It’s an honor to play against players with so much history in England, like Willian and Andreas (Pereira), who I’ve admired for years.” But our team has its weapons, and I’m hoping to have a wonderful night, maintain my strong form, and help Norwich qualify.”

Sara was signed by Norwich City for €10.5 million from São Paulo in the summer of 2022. It didn’t take long for him to secure his spot on the squad, and with even stronger morale this season, he started all of their Championship games thus far.

When he moved to England, Transfermarkt valued him at €5.5 million; he is now valued at €12 million. His contract with the Canaries extends until 2026, with a one-year extension option.
