the Milwaukee Bucks completed one of the NBA’s greatest offseason storylines by acquiring Damian Lillard in a three-team blockbuster transaction. And, as with any trade, there are winners and losers, but the Boston Celtics are neither really winners nor particularly losers.

Why Damian Lillard To Bucks Blockbuster Is Bad News Celtics

Milwaukee is a popular choice for the NBA Finals, and for good reason. They have two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is likely no longer dissatisfied with the team, despite his prior flee-threatening offseason comments. They’ve got a new star-studded duet, combining the “Greek Freak” with a part-time SoundCloud rapper. However, make no mistake about that. Adding Lillard is, if anything, a counter to Boston’s purchase of Kristaps Porzingis.

Milwaukee was forced to play, and the front staff responded under duress.

“As long as we play and approach the game the right way every single day, and we all sacrifice for a common goal, I can see myself being (with the) Milwaukee Bucks for the rest of my career,” Antetokounmpo stated on Bleav’s “48 Minutes” podcast, according to ESPN video. “But I’m not going to do it if I think people aren’t as committed as I am to winning the NBA Finals.” I’m a Milwaukee Buck, but above all, I’m a winner. If there is a better opportunity for me to win the Larry O’Brien, I must take it.”
