Taylor has yet to appear for Albion in the Championship this season, but Corberan insists he will be ready to replace Ajayi if needed.

“He (Ajayi) has been an important player for Nigeria, so he has possibilities,” Corberan remarked.

“We can’t think in January like we can in September, but that’s one of the reasons I want all of the players prepared – with ideas and with training.”

“Caleb is here to prepare for a period where Ajayi may or may not be here, or even with him – he may be here due to injury or poor performance.”
