After battling in the aftermath of the weekend’s success over Burnley, the trio missed Tuesday’s 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over the same opponents owing to illness.

Following Saturday’s match at Turf Moor, Reguillon failed to report to the club’s Carrington training complex, with United procedure requiring players who are ill to be sent home or ordered to stay away to prevent the spread of illness across the team.

The Spaniard is claimed to have felt poorly before the Burnley victory, but he requested to play and lasted 79 minutes before being replaced by Raphael Varane as the Red Devils recorded their first clean sheet since the season began.

Meanwhile, Eriksen and McTominay were scheduled to play against Palace after reporting for training on Monday, but both became ill and missed the game.
