BREAKING NEWS:  injury has been confirmed by a club source, but there is some good news for David Moyes.

A source close to West Ham United has confirmed Jarrod Bowen’s injury, but there is some positive news for David Moyes.

There is no rest for the wicked, as West Ham have another busy week ahead of them as the season heats up.

On Saturday, the Hammers returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United.

The focus now shifts to important Europa League games against Freiburg and at home against in-form Newcastle United in the coming week.

Jarrod Bowen, as always, will be crucial to West Ham’s aspirations. He drives the squad, as he demonstrated with a silky goal and a fantastic all-around performance over the weekend.

Jarrod Bowen’s injury has been confirmed by a club source, but there is some good news for David Moyes. West Ham fans were naturally concerned when he was seen limping and clearly in pain when he was withdrawn late on against the Blades at the London Stadium.

We published on the injury in the hope of hearing good news from West Ham ahead of their trip to Germany before Newcastle visit next Sunday.

Bowen’s injury has already been verified by a club source, however there is some good news for David Moyes.

A West Ham insider verified to Claret and Hugh that Bowen had a minor knock during the game.

However, in reaction to our report, they believe he will be available for Newcastle.

‘Very minor issue’
That will retain his outstanding record of missing only two Premier League matches in the last 132 since joining West Ham.

However, the report suggests that Bowen may be rested for the Europa League trip to Germany.

“Bowen was carrying a slight limp as he was subbed in extra time yesterday per Hammers News but our sources claim there in no problem with the player,” Claret and Hugh claim.

“He is unlikely to play in the Europa League match anyway, as David Moyes continues to shuffle the squad.”

“We were told earlier that the player had only received a knock during the game against Sheffield United and that there was very little problem that needed to be addressed.”
